Wɔd fɔ di wik

The Wɔd fɔ di wik social media campaign was designed to introduce basic German language to a mainly Krio speaking target audience in Sierra Leone.

#WordoftheWeek campaigns are manifold, but this one is the first one that addresses an audience in Krio language, the “lingua franca” in Sierra Leone. Designed for the German Embassy Freetown Facebook page, it has actively engaged a Krio speaking audience on a weekly basis. Each week, a funny post introduced humorous German words and sayings, paired with their Krio translations. With the Wɔd fɔ di wik campaign, I aimed at creating a light and educational way to bridge cultures. By highlighting these playful expressions, my campaign design fosters cultural exchange and provides a light-hearted, entertaining way to learn new words.

For the design of these posts I used Adobe generative AI software. No animals were injured in the making of this campaign. 😉
