Freedom rights in Germany, seen from the perspective of the people in Sierra Leone, 2025 – a social media design campaign for the German Embassy Freetown to highlight basics of the German Basic Law.
Content and video material are presented by various personalities and organizations with German-Sierra Leonean backgrounds, including Caritas Freetown, GIZ, agiamondo, who share their unique perspectives on freedom rights and the importance of safeguarding them. These voices highlight the ongoing relevance of human rights in both historical and contemporary contexts, reinforcing the campaign’s commitment to promoting and protecting these fundamental freedoms.
The campaign is rooted in the design standards recommended by the German Government for effective social media campaigns. The hashtag #WeInvestInFreedom was specifically chosen to emphasize the importance of freedom rights, particularly in connection to the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. Throughout the campaign, social media channels featured weekly posts highlighting selected basic rights that are fundamental to our society today.
